Cross County Arts Council
"Supporting the Arts / Broadening their Horizons "
The Cross County Arts Council promotes the fine arts by
supporting activities and programs which provide both cultural enrichment and
artistic expression for the children and citizens of Cross County, Arkansas.
We were formed in 1984 by a group of concerned citizens who saw a need for arts
programming in our schools and community. For more than two decades, the arts
council has provided school programs for schools in the three school districts,
presented scholarships to high school seniors pursuing a degree in the arts,
organized free workshops for students, and presented programming for the
community.
We are located in Wynne, Arkansas and serve the more than 20,000 residents of
Cross County. The county is located in northeast Arkansas along Crowley’s Ridge
which runs through the Arkansas Delta.
Support for the Cross County Arts Council is provided, in part, by the Arkansas
Arts Council, an agency of the Department of Arkansas Heritage, and the National
Endowment for the Arts.
