| Another goal of the Cross County Arts Council is to expose citizens to the arts. Often, it seems that the arts are limited to those who can afford to travel to larger cities to tour museums or attend theatrical performances. We hope to change that. The Cross County Arts Council has worked hard to make the arts available to all of its citizens by providing public performances at no cost to the community. Most recently, the public attended a free performance by Ballet Memphis. After performing for Wynne Primary students that afternoon, dancers with Ballet Memphis returned to the stage that evening and performed scenes from several ballets. |

In Spring 2005, the Arkansas Arts Center’s Artmobile was stationed in downtown Wynne for one week in April. The Artmobile featured the exhibit, “Natural Insights - Art and the Earth” and included an art educator who led tours. This was also free to the community. Our Summer Concert series is held each June at The Learning Curve outdoor performance area on the campus of Wynne High School. The concerts are held Thursday evenings and feature local performers from bluegrass bands to gospel groups. These concerts are also free to the community.
